Host/server

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional Host/Server to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for guests, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere and providing exceptional guest services. Your primary responsibilities will include greeting guests, managing reservations, and delivering outstanding customer service to enhance the overall dining experience. Previous experience in food service and hospitality is preferred, but a positive attitude and strong communication skills are essential. This position offers an opportunity to develop your hospitality skills in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage seating arrangements efficiently
• Assist guests with reservations and waitlist management using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Provide menus, answer questions about menu items, and offer recommendations
• Take guest orders accurately and relay them to the kitchen staff
• Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of guest service
• Handle guest inquiries, complaints, or special requests with professionalism and courtesy
• Maintain cleanliness of host/guest areas and ensure a welcoming environment
• Uphold restaurant policies related to guest relations, phone etiquette, and service standards
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth restaurant operations during shifts

Skills

• Prior experience as a Host/Host or Server in a restaurant setting is preferred
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests
• Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and guest relations
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
• Knowledge of food service operations and hospitality industry standards
• Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Professional appearance and friendly demeanor
• Team player with strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
