Brief description: As the Purchasing & Logistics Manager at Woods Coffee, your number one objective is to support our purpose: to show our guests they are truly valued. You make this happen by ensuring our teams have everything they need to deliver an exceptional guest experience, from quality ingredients and supplies to dairy, coffee and bakery products. You'll build strong, lasting relationships with our vendors, negotiate fair pricing, and manage inventory with precision. You'll also oversee and support our warehouse team managers, fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and efficiency. Through your work, you help keep the entire Woods operation running smoothly, ensuring every cup, every guest, and every moment reflects the quality and care at Woods Coffee.

  • Reports to: Director of Operations
  • Classification: Salary Exempt
  • Pay Range: $8184K Annual Salary
  • Location: The position will be based at either Camp th Street, Lynden, WA) or Camp S 196th St, Kent, WA), with travel between the two campuses required once per week.
  • Schedule: Full time, some weekends and nights, primarily day shift.

Responsibilities:
  • Work with vendors to secure highquality products at fair prices.
  • Negotiate pricing and terms with all vendors and source new products for cost savings.
  • Develop and maintain efficient, costeffective distribution routes and workflows.
  • Oversee fleet maintenance, driver safety, and delivery performance.
  • Manage warehouse operations, ensuring accurate inventory tracking, receiving, and rotation.
  • Monitor and forecast product needs across all locations to ensure a consistent supply.
  • Analyze logistics data to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and increase reliability.
  • Collaborate with other departments to align distribution with company goals and growth plans.
  • Oversee Warehouse Managers at both locations (Lynden and Kent), and work as a team to ensure a happy, safe, and effective team that delivers everything our stores need on time. This requires weekly travel to the opposite campus.
  • Recruit, hire, train, and supervise warehouse and delivery team members, provide appropriate evaluations as well as disciplinary actions when necessary.
Required Certifications:
  • Drivers license.
  • Forklift Certification (Certification can be provided on the job).
Required experience:
  • Previous experience leading a team.
  • Warehousing, Transportation, and Scheduling experience.
  • Vendor Relationships, and Pricing Negotiation
Required Skills:
  • Google docs & sheets or Microsoft Word & Excel.
  • Computer proficiency, comfortable with learning new software.
  • Familiar with inventory management systems.
  • Comfortable driving large box trucks and other types of large vehicles.
