Duties

• Install, assemble, and secure air conditioning duct systems following schematics and HVAC design plans to ensure optimal airflow and system performance
• Use a variety of tools including welders, ohmmeters, and other equipment repair tools to modify or repair ductwork as needed
• Read and interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and HVAC system layouts to accurately execute installations
• Collaborate with service technicians and other trades such as plumbing or refrigeration specialists to coordinate complex mechanical projects
• Conduct routine maintenance checks on installed ductwork and related HVAC components to ensure ongoing efficiency and safety
• Operate field service equipment safely while adhering to all safety protocols during installation or repair tasks
• Assist in welding or mechanical assembly tasks when required for custom duct configurations or repairs

Experience

• Proven experience in construction, HVAC installation, or related mechanical fields with a focus on ductwork or ventilation systems
• Service technician experience in HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration) environments preferred
• Familiarity with schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design principles necessary for precise installation work
• Knowledge of plumbing, refrigeration systems including ammonia refrigeration, and boiler maintenance is highly advantageous
• Mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience in equipment repair, welding, and property maintenance tasks
• Experience operating diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and field service equipment for troubleshooting electrical or mechanical issues
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; commercial driver's license (CDL) a plus for transporting materials or equipment
