Job Description

We are an HVAC Wholes Distribution business for Bosch Home Comfort Group. We sell the York, Guardian and Hitachi branded product locally through our 68 sites located in 25 states to contractors that install our equipment for residential and commercial applications.

The Sr. Inventory Planning Analyst is responsible for optimizing inventory to support sales growth by ensuring the correct product is in the right place at the right time. This role involves managing ERP system parameters, collaborating with sales leadership, and supervising Inventory Planning Analysts.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage inventory levels and stock profiles to meet customer requirements and maintain appropriate weeks of supply, considering seasonal fluctuations.
  • Generate and manage purchase orders to support sales, minimize inbound freight charges, and optimize transactional efficiency.
  • Collaborate with sales, operations, and factory teams to manage product transitions, ensuring minimal negative impact on customers and P&L.
  • Implement and maintain efficient hub/spoke systems where appropriate, setting up auto-generated transfers and addressing exceptions.
  • Conduct performance review meetings with vendors to address distressed inventory, aged purchase orders, and other delivery or cost issues.
  • Work with sales teams to review product stocking plans, inventory levels, and sales performance, addressing exceptions to support sales growth.
  • Identify opportunities to consolidate products or vendors to optimize spend and leverage.
  • Supervise Inventory Planning Analysts and hold periodic meetings with assigned branch locations to ensure readiness for sales growth targets.
  • Key metrics for success include stockouts, aged purchase orders, weeks of supply, SMOD (slow-moving and obsolete inventory), and inventory turns.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Logistics, Industrial Distribution, or related field
  • 5+ years of inventory planning experience
  • 2+ years of experience in supervising salaried employees
  • Proficiency in inventory management systems (e.g., NxTrend/SAP) and HVAC product knowledge preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or relevant coursework a plus
  • Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills
  • Excellent computer and data analysis/management skills
  • Ability to handle uncertainty and revise work based on changing conditions
  • Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams
