Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Construction Superintendent/Project Manager to lead and oversee complex construction projects from inception to completion. This role combines hands-on supervision with strategic project management, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. The ideal candidate will excel in managing construction teams, coordinating with clients and subcontractors, and utilizing advanced construction management software to drive project success. Your leadership will be instrumental in maintaining safety standards, quality control, and efficient resource allocation across multiple sites.

Duties

  • Lead and supervise all on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to project plans, schematics, and safety protocols.
  • Develop detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or equivalent construction scheduling tools to coordinate timelines effectively.
  • Manage project budgets by estimating costs accurately using construction estimating software such as HeavyBid and tracking expenses throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Oversee procurement processes, including reviewing contracts, negotiating terms with vendors and subcontractors, and ensuring timely delivery of materials.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, enforce OSHA safety standards, and implement quality control measures.
  • Read blueprints and schematics thoroughly to verify construction accuracy; utilize tools like ohmmeters for electrical testing when necessary.
  • Coordinate with engineers and architects to interpret technical drawings and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
  • Supervise a team of construction workers and subcontractors, providing clear direction, performance feedback, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
  • Utilize construction management software such as ProCore, Bluebeam, or similar platforms for documentation, communication, and project tracking.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of daily activities, change orders, RFIs (Requests for Information), and progress reports to ensure transparency and accountability throughout the project.

Experience

  • Proven experience in heavy civil or commercial construction management with a strong background in supervising large-scale projects.
  • Extensive site experience demonstrating proficiency in managing multiple trades and subcontractors simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated ability to read complex blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
  • Familiarity with project scheduling tools like Primavera P6 or Primavera Enterprise for effective timeline management.
  • Hands-on experience with construction estimating software such as HeavyBid or equivalent to prepare accurate budgets.
  • Knowledge of contracts administration including drafting, reviewing, and enforcing contractual obligations.
  • Strong understanding of OSHA regulations coupled with a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Management experience involving supervision of diverse teams with excellent leadership skills.
  • Technical skills including proficiency with construction management software (ProCore), Bluebeam for document review, and use of tools like ohmmeters for electrical testing.

Pay: $80, $97,036.06 per year
