Dishwasher/Food Prep

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Dishwasher/Food Prep team member at Willowdale Estate to support our busy kitchen operations. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient food service environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, food preparation, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety. Prior experience in restaurant, catering, or hotel settings is a plus, but we welcome motivated individuals eager to learn. Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to ensure cleanliness and safety standards are met
• Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping, assembling ingredients, and plating under supervision
• Support bussing duties by clearing tables and resetting dining areas efficiently
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen stations, food prep areas, and dining spaces throughout shifts
• Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure hygiene and compliance with health regulations
• Assist with catering setup and breakdown as needed for events or banquet services
• Ensure all cleaning supplies are used appropriately and restocked when necessary
• Support the kitchen team in maintaining an organized workspace to facilitate smooth operations

Skills

• Previous experience in food service, restaurant, catering, or hospitality environments is preferred
• Knowledge of food handling safety standards and sanitation practices
• Ability to perform basic food prep tasks such as chopping, assembling ingredients, and portioning
• Familiarity with bussing duties and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness
• Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Willingness to learn culinary techniques and support various kitchen functions

Pay: From $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35.0 – 40.0 per week
