Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and personable Host to create a warm, welcoming environment for our guests. As the first point of contact, you will set the tone for an exceptional dining experience by providing friendly service, managing reservations, and ensuring smooth seating operations. Your enthusiasm and excellent communication skills will help foster guest satisfaction and loyalty, making every visitor feel valued from the moment they arrive.

Duties

• Greet guests with a genuine smile and positive attitude, establishing a friendly first impression
• Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Escort guests to their tables, ensuring comfort and addressing any special requests or needs
• Answer phone inquiries promptly, providing accurate information about wait times, menu options, and restaurant policies
• Coordinate with the kitchen and service staff to optimize seating flow and minimize wait times
• Handle guest concerns or complaints professionally, striving to resolve issues promptly and courteously
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand area to ensure a welcoming environment

Requirements

• Proven experience as a host or host in a fast-paced food service or restaurant setting
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is preferred
• Excellent phone etiquette and guest relations skills
• Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude under pressure
• Previous hotel or hospitality experience is a plus but not required
• Knowledge of restaurant operations, serving protocols, and guest services standards
