Janitor/Cleaner

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor/Cleaner to maintain cleanliness and safety across our facilities. The ideal candidate will have experience in various cleaning techniques, including floor care and industrial cleaning, ensuring a hygienic environment for staff and visitors. Duties

• Perform general cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal in designated areas
• Conduct specialized floor care including buffing, stripping, and polishing to maintain high standards of cleanliness and appearance
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, kitchens, and common areas regularly
• Handle industrial cleaning tasks as needed, including use of commercial cleaning equipment and chemicals
• Maintain supplies inventory and notify management when stock needs replenishing
• Assist with minor maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs or repairing fixtures when necessary
• Follow safety protocols and use appropriate personal protective equipment during all cleaning activities
• Support facilities maintenance efforts by reporting any damages or safety hazards

Experience

• Prior janitorial or custodial experience preferred, especially in commercial or industrial settings
• Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, and sealing floors
• Experience with residential painting or facilities maintenance is a plus
• Familiarity with industrial cleaning equipment and chemicals is advantageous
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently and efficiently
• Ability to follow safety procedures and handle cleaning supplies responsibly

Pay: $ $12.00 per hour
