Position Overview

The client is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join their Tucson-based office. This role offers the opportunity to work within a multi-disciplinary engineering environment, supporting impactful projects that shape local communities and regional development.

The Senior Project Manager will provide technical leadership, team management, and operational support, while contributing to office growth, profitability, and community engagement. Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage engineering design teams on residential and commercial land development projects
Support office leadership with administrative functions and overall office operations
Mentor and develop engineering and design staff
Promote the growth, performance, and financial success of the Tucson office
Maintain active involvement with community and industry organizations
Oversee project execution to ensure quality, schedule, and budget adherence

Required Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE)
Arizona Professional Engineer (PE) license, or ability to obtain licensure through reciprocity
Minimum 20 years of relevant experience in residential and commercial land development
Minimum 10 years of management experience supervising engineers, designers, and project support staff

Required Management Experience

Supervision of engineering design teams
Oversight of project schedules and budgets
Preparation and management of contracts, fee proposals, and scopes of work
Extensive interaction with clients and public agencies
Accountability for directing, planning, and controlling design team efforts
Ability to set realistic goals and manage projects independently

Required Technical Experience

Site assessments and execution of engineering design studies
Preparation and processing of improvement plans supporting private land development
Conducting constructability reviews and site construction conformance evaluations

Experience providing construction-phase support services
Proficiency with AutoCAD / Civil 3D, Microsoft Project, and Bluebeam

Additional Professional Skills

Working knowledge of:

Strategic business and management principles
Resource planning and allocation
Leadership and team coordination techniques
Production workflows and operational procedures
Interviewing and hiring processes
Jurisdictional permitting and approval procedures

Demonstrated and meaningful participation in community and industry organizations related to relationship development and business growth is strongly preferred.
