Position Description

Reporting to the Principal Investigator and/or Lab Manager, the Assistant Research Technologist is responsible for applying straightforward technical knowledge and skills to perform well-defined, routine and/or repetitive tests, experiments or procedures.

Here's What You'll Get To Do

  • Perform routine physical, chemical and biological lab procedures
  • Prepare media, solutions, reagents, sections and slides, and do routine assays following prescribed methods
  • Be responsible for accuracy of techniques, using established policies and procedures to resolve routine problems

Here's What You'll Need

  • Post secondary education in Science (e.g., certification as a Registered Technologist)
  • Demonstrated competency in written and verbal communication
  • A commitment to understanding and aiding in the pursuit of equity, diversity and inclusion objectives

Employment Type: Temporary 3 month contract, 0.8 FTE
