School Social Worker

Rochester Academy Charter School is currently seeking a School Social Worker for the school year. Several qualifications will be considered: qualification as a LCSW (preferred); LMSW, New York State certification in School Social Work; or similar qualifications and out of State certification will be considered. Experience is preferred but not required.

Job responsibilities categories include (but are not limited to):

• Leading and supervising 1:1 and group counseling for students with IEPs and 504s
• Leading and supervising 1:1 and group counseling to support student behavior change
• Offering drop in counseling services to all students
• Connecting students and families with resources in our community
• Leadership role in implementing our Restorative Practices Program
• Hosting and planning for staff professional learning around topics specific to Social Emotional Learning

Rochester Academy Charter School (RACS) is a public charter school, primarily serving students from the city of Rochester. Over 90% of our students identify as an individual of color.
