Service Manager

San Juan Marine is a full service marine dealership in Aztec NM looking for an Experienced Service Manager to provide the customer with outstanding customer service and to maintain our premier dealership status

Your job will be to supervise the efficient organization and operations of the service department, while maximizing efficiencies, profitability and reducing costs. To further ensure complete customer satisfaction and repeat patronage through staff attitude, professionalism and work quality excellence.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Communicates with customers regularly about service related issues
• Understands and applies dealership procedures and policies
• Manage and enforce shop safety
• Manage all retail, warranty, rigging and internal work orders
• Manages schedule and service workflow in shop
• Review work orders for accuracy
• Manages warranty recalls and product updates
• Recruits, hires, motivates and supervises service department staff
• Manages tech efficiency and productivity for maximum gross income
• Attends training seminars when necessary and recommends and coordinates manufacturer service training for technicians
• Develops and implements systems and procedures for efficient work production by department
• Reviews and verifies all warranty claims are paid promptly by O.E.M.
• Manages and solves difficult customer complaints in service department
• Assists general management with periodic financial forecasts
• Analyzes competition for pricing and promotional activity
• Knows, understands and applies all municipal, state and federal legislation as it pertains to the dealership
• Manages shop tools and equipment
• Ensures service lot is maintained to maximum efficiency
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Requirements:

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• Management courses helpful
• Licensed mechanic preferred
• Minimum 5 years service, parts, shop management experience
• Professional appearance
• Ability to communicate at a high level, both verbally and in writing
• Organizational and computer skills are required for the position
• Be team-oriented, self-motivated, and process driven
• Have a valid state driver's license
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background/drug screen

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40, $60,000.00 per year
