General Description
Navatek Boat Builders is based out of Pier 24 in Honolulu Harbor. Our construction facilities consist of fiberglass reinforced plastics (FRP) fabrication and repair, metal fabrication, and marine engine installation, maintenance, and repair. At these facilities we build, repair, and maintain vessels for recreational, commercial, and government clients.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide operational oversight to ensure daily operations are running smoothly.
- Develop estimates and project schedules.
- Develop bids and quotes for various customers.
- Ensure projects are being performed on-time and within budget.
- Interface directly with production personnel, stakeholders, vendors, customers, regulatory agencies in person, over the phone, and by email.
- Knowledge of vessel systems for new builds, retrofits, maintenance and repair services.
- Provide timely progress and budget status updates and reports.
- Establish and maintain a preventive maintenance program for Navatek Boat Builders vessels, trailers, and vehicles.
- Operate vessels during sea trials.
- Assure certifications and registrations for vessels, trailers, and vehicles are current.
- Foster a positive work environment, ensuring the team is motivated, and addressing employee concerns proactively.
- Monitor employee performance, provide constructive feedback, evaluate results, and handle disciplinary actions and conflict resolution.
- Assist with the hiring process by reviewing applications, interviewing, and onboarding new staff.
Qualification/Education:
- Ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize to meet deadlines.
- Must be flexible in work hours, on-call as needed
- Verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
- Good attitude; must be a team player.
- Microsoft Suite skills required.
- Rhino 3D knowledge preferred.
- AutoCad knowledge preferred.
- Boat handling and maintenance experience preferred.
- State of Hawaii Boater Safety Education Card preferred.
- Must show proof of work eligibility in the United States.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
- Must successfully obtain and maintain TWIC
- Must submit to and pass a post-offer drug screening and a background check.
The position requires the ability to perform a range of physical, sensory, and cognitive tasks throughout the workday. Physical demands include occasional pushing and pulling up to 10 psi and lifting, carrying, and handling materials weighing up to 50 pounds at various heights. The role involves frequent sitting and/or driving, standing, walking, and maintaining balance, along with occasional postural activities such as climbing stairs or ladders, bending, kneeling, squatting, crawling, stooping, crouching, twisting, side bending, and reaching both forward and overhead. The position also requires constant use of the hands for handling, continuous visual, auditory, and verbal communication abilities, and sustained capacity for multitasking and analytical thinking.

Pay: $75, $100,000.00 per year
