Medical Assistant

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in our Rheumatology Clinic. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in medical terminology, patient care, and clinical procedures. This position is vital for supporting our healthcare providers in delivering exceptional patient service and ensuring efficient clinic operations.

Duties

• Assist with patient intake processes, including collecting medical histories and documenting symptoms
• Measure and record vital signs accurately
• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, ensuring comfort and privacy
• Support physicians with procedures such as medication administration and injections
• Operate Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems efficiently to document patient information and clinical notes
• Manage patient flow
• Maintain clinical supplies and ensure the cleanliness of treatment areas
• Provide excellent patient service by addressing questions and ensuring a positive experience

Experience

• Prior experience working in urgent care, or outpatient clinics is highly preferred
• Front office experience preferred
• Previous roles involving medication administration and phlebotomy is a plus
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to obtain certification if not already held
