If you want to be part of an inclusive, adaptable, and forward-thinking organization, apply now./ppWe are currently seeking a Multi-Cloud Lead SQL/Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to join our team in Austin, Texas (US-TX), United States./ph3Position Overview/h3pWe are seeking a highly skilled Multi-Cloud Lead SQL Database Administrator (DBA) to manage and optimize SQL and object database environments across Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and having secondary skills in Oracle Database administration. This role will focus on provisioning, performance tuning, high availability, backup, and security of SQL databases and cloud-native object databases in a multi-cloud environment, supporting mission-critical applications and analytics platforms./ph3Key Responsibilities/h3pstrongSQL Database Administration:/strong/pulliProvision, configure, and maintain SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Oracle DB instances in AWS RDS/Aurora, Azure SQL Database, GCP Cloud SQL/AlloyDB, and OCI Autonomous Database./liliDesign and implement high-availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions (e.g., multi-AZ, failover groups, cross-region replication)./liliPerform database backup, restore, patching, and upgrade operations across all cloud platforms./liliMonitor and tune database performance using cloud-native monitoring tools and traditional database performance tools./liliCreate Linked Servers to SQL Servers and other databases such as Oracle, Access, Informix etc./liliEnsure all key databases have deep insight monitoring enabled to enable improved capabilities around fault detection/li/ulpstrongCloud Object Database Management:/strong/pulliAWS DynamoDB/liliAzure Cosmos DB/liliGoogle Cloud Firestore / Bigtable/liliOracle NoSQL Database Cloud Service/liliImplement best practices for partitioning, indexing, throughput provisioning, and capacity management./liliEstablish lifecycle management policies for object data, backup strategies, and encryption./li/ulpstrongAutomation and Infrastructure-as-Code:/strong/pulliAutomate database provisioning and configuration using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, Azure ARM/Bicep templates, GCP Deployment Manager, and OCI Resource Manager./liliImplement CI/CD pipelines for database schema changes using GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or Cloud Build./li/ulpstrongSecurity and Compliance:/strong/pulliEnforce database security policies, encryption (at rest and in transit), and access controls via IAM roles/policies across all clouds./liliSupport audits by ensuring logging, alerting, and compliance with industry standards (HIPAA, PCI, SOC2)./li/ulpstrongCollaboration and Support:/strong/pulliWork closely with cloud engineers, DevOps teams, data analysts, and application developers to support development and production environments./liliParticipate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support for critical systems./liliAssist the support staff to troubleshoot Oracle, SQL and any other database errors./li/ulh3Required Qualifications/h3pstrongPrimary: SQL/strong/ppstrongSecondary: Oracle, Exadata/strong/pp10+ years of experience as a SQL DBA in enterprise environments./pp4+ years of experience as a Oracle DBA/pp3+ years of hands-on experience managing SQL databases in AWS, Azure, GCP, and OCI./ppStrong experience with AWS RDS/Aurora, Azure SQL Database, GCP Cloud SQL/AlloyDB, and OCI Autonomous Database./ppWorking knowledge of DynamoDB, Cosmos DB, Firestore/Bigtable, Oracle NoSQL Database./ppProficiency in writing and optimizing SQL queries, stored procedures, and triggers./ppSolid understanding of cloud security principles, IAM, and encryption mechanisms./ppExperience with Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) practices./ph3Preferred Qualifications/h3pMCTS, MCITP certifications/ppOracle Certified Professional (OCP) or Oracle Certified Expert (OCE) credentials is a plus/ppCertifications in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Database Specialty, Azure Database Administrator Associate, Google Professional Cloud Database Engineer, OCI Database Cloud Professional)./ppExperience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or other message queuing systems./ppKnowledge of DataOps practices and database CI/CD pipelines./ppFamiliarity with Kubernetes and database operators (e.g., AWS RDS Operator, Azure Arc Data Services)./p/div
