Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head Chef and Kitchen Manager to oversee all culinary operations within our establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary expertise, and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences. This role involves managing kitchen staff, ensuring food quality and safety standards, and coordinating menu planning to meet the high standards of our dining and catering services.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise kitchen staff, including cooks, sous chefs, and catering teams, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment
  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow during all shifts
  • Develop and update menus in alignment with culinary trends and customer preferences, including banquet and catering menus
  • Manage inventory control, food production, and food handling to minimize waste and optimize resources
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation
  • Oversee food preparation, presentation, and quality control to deliver exceptional dining experiences
  • Coordinate with event planners and service staff for catering events, banquets, and special functions
  • Monitor kitchen expenses and manage procurement processes for ingredients and supplies
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate kitchen staff to promote professional growth and maintain high performance standards
  • Implement innovative culinary techniques while maintaining consistency in food quality

Qualifications

  • Supervising experience in a fast-paced culinary environment with team management responsibilities
  • Extensive culinary experience including menu planning, food preparation, food service management, and catering
  • Knowledge of inventory management, inventory control, food safety protocols, and dietary department requirements
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate staff and manage shift operations effectively
  • Strong understanding of kitchen management practices including food handling, food production, cooking techniques, and hospitality standards
  • Experience in restaurant or hospitality settings with a focus on food service management and catering services
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in food presentation and quality assurance
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and customer satisfaction

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80, $85,000.00 per year
