Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Housekeeping Manager to oversee the daily operations of our cleaning and maintenance services. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a thorough understanding of cleaning procedures, and a background in hospitality or janitorial management. This role is vital in ensuring that our facilities maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and guest satisfaction. The Housekeeping Manager will coordinate staff, develop cleaning protocols, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Duties
- Supervise and lead housekeeping staff to ensure efficient and effective cleaning operations
- Develop and implement cleaning schedules, standards, and procedures
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to ensure cleanliness and adherence to quality standards
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, equipment, and linens
- Train new staff on proper cleaning techniques, safety protocols, and customer service expectations
- Oversee floor care activities including carpet cleaning, waxing, and polishing to maintain a pristine environment
- Coordinate with other departments to meet operational needs and special requests
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations
- Handle guest or client inquiries related to housekeeping services promptly and professionally
- Maintain detailed records of staff performance, inventory levels, and maintenance issues
Requirements
- Proven experience in housekeeping management within the hospitality industry or similar settings
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques including industrial cleaning, floor care, and janitorial practices
- Experience with hotel housekeeping operations preferred
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to custodial work
- Prior experience with hospitality or custodial management systems is a plus
- Ability to motivate team members and foster a positive work environment
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and operational needs
Pay: $ $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
