Welder/Fabricator/Fitter

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welder/Fabricator/Fitter to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess strong welding, fabrication, and fitting skills, with experience working in shop setting or in industrial environments. This role involves working with various materials, interpreting blueprints, and utilizing a range of hand and power tools to produce high-quality metal components in accordance with industry standards. The position offers an opportunity to contribute to complex projects requiring precision welding and fabrication expertise.

Duties

• Perform MIG, TIG, FCAW, and welding on diverse materials including sheet metal and job shop fabrication.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately fabricate components.
• Use calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools to ensure dimensional accuracy.
• Operate fabrication equipment such as press brake machines, plasma cutters, and pipe threading tools.
• Cut, shape, assemble, and weld metal parts using hand tools, power tools, and specialized machinery.
• Conduct rigging and mechanical assembly tasks as required for project completion.
• Maintain compliance with ASME codes & standards during fabrication processes.
• Perform quality inspections using calipers, micrometers, and schematics to verify specifications.
• Follow safety protocols including crane operation and forklift handling on construction sites or manufacturing facilities.
• Assist in the setup and maintenance of equipment such as press brakes and plasma cutters for production runs.
• Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while ensuring safety and quality standards.

Experience

• Proven experience in welding (MIG, TIG, FCAW) with a strong understanding of welding techniques.
• Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings related to fabrication projects.
• Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, rigging equipment, and machining processes.
• Knowledge of ASME codes & standards applicable to manufacturing or construction environments.
• Mechanical knowledge including pipe threading, assembly, soldering, plasma cutting, and press brake operation.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations necessary for measurements and fabrication tolerances. This position requires a dedicated professional capable of working safely in fast-paced environments while producing precise metal components for diverse projects.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
