General Manager

Job Title: General Manager - Pizza on the Farm

Location: East Troy, Wisconsin

Salary: 45,000 per year

Grassway Organics is seeking a General Manager to ensure smooth, efficient operation, excellent customer service, and a positive environment for our outdoor Pizza on the Farm events.

This is a full-time, yearly salaried position with 40+ hour weeks during the Pizza Season (April-October) and approximately 10 hours per week during the offseason.

This role will focus on staff management, vendor relations, inventory control and collaboration with leads to maintain high operational standards.

Job Duties:

• Oversee operations during Pizza on the Farm events.
• Ensure completion of all sections of staff training in all departments (Food safety, customer service, operational procedures), while developing a positive work environment and team culture.
• Maintain open communication with staff to ensure clarity in duties and expectations.
• Coordinate with vendors for product ordering and inventory needs (bar supplies, vegetables, bakery products).
• Manage the preparation and organization of event grounds, including overseeing pizza grounds, garbage and recycling management, and porta-potty services.
• Ensure completion of vital prep work, including but not limited to firewood management, including coordination of firewood splitting, hauling, and oven prep for events.
• Participate in regular meetings with Director of Operations, ensuring key metrics and general standards are maintained.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in a managerial role in a high-volume food service or event management setting.
• Familiarity with Toast, or similar food service POS systems.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to handle guest interactions professionally.
• Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Must be available for full-time work during the summer season with limited time off.
• Ability to lift 40+ pounds.
