Cross Referencing & Product Expertise
- Cross-reference STI products to competitive offerings, ensuring accurate substitution guidance and maintaining STI's position as the subject matter authority.
- Maintain updated knowledge of competitor systems, listings, test methods, and field use requirements.
Internal Collaboration
- Liaise with STI chemists, engineers, product managers, and sales personnel to resolve complex inquiries, clarify product behavior, or develop nonstandard solutions.
- Support interdepartmental initiatives where product performance, material compatibility, or system design expertise is required.
Professional Interaction
- Communicate clearly, confidently, and professionally with diverse stakeholders across the construction ecosystem.
- Represent STI's engineering culture of accuracy, safety, and customer-first service.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Fire Protection, etc.), Architecture, or a closely related technical discipline
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D required).
- Ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
- Foundational knowledge of construction methods; firestopping familiarity is a plus.
- Proficiency with MS Office and comfort learning internal software tools.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Customer-focused with strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
- Ability to handle multiple inquiries efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
