Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the entire kitchen operation, ensuring smooth shift management and efficient workflow
- Develop innovative menus that showcase culinary artistry while meeting dietary needs and guest preferences
- Supervise food production, food handling, and food service to maintain top-tier quality standards
- Oversee inventory management, control stock levels, and ensure proper food storage practices
- Coordinate catering events, banquets, and special functions with meticulous attention to detail
- Train, mentor, and supervise kitchen staff to foster a cohesive team focused on excellence in food preparation and service
- Enforce strict adherence to food safety regulations and sanitation standards across all kitchen activities
- Manage kitchen budgets, monitor food costs, and optimize resource utilization for maximum efficiency
- Collaborate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service delivery in a fast-paced hospitality environment
Qualifications
- Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in fine dining environments
- Proven supervising experience in a high-volume restaurant or catering setting
- Demonstrated expertise in banquet experience, catering, and large-scale food production
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team
- Knowledge of inventory management, inventory control, and food cost analysis
- Familiarity with dietary department standards and food safety protocols (HACCP certification preferred)
- Excellent skills in menu planning, food preparation, kitchen management, and serving techniques
- Experience in restaurant management or hospitality settings is highly desirable
- Ability to thrive under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in all aspects of kitchen operations
