Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dining environment. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for providing exceptional customer service, ensuring guests have a memorable dining experience. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented atmosphere. A background in fine dining or the food industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and seat guests promptly, ensuring a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems.
• Provide detailed menu information, including daily specials and recommendations, while effectively upselling items.
• Ensure timely delivery of food and beverages to tables while maintaining high standards of presentation.
• Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their dining experience and address any concerns promptly.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure accurate food preparation and adherence to food safety standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including bussing tables and assisting with sanitation efforts.
• Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and managing cash handling procedures.
• Assist with hosting duties as needed, including managing reservations through OpenTable and greeting guests upon arrival.

Experience

• Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is required; fine dining experience is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha or Micros is preferred.
• Culinary experience or knowledge of food preparation techniques is a plus.
• Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a busy setting.
• Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and satisfaction.
• Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately.
