POSITION SUMMARY:
The Manager Software Development - ServiceNow is responsible for leading a team in the design, development, configuration, and maintenance of solutions on the ServiceNow platform. This role ensures the platform is leveraged to its full potential, aligning with the organization's strategic goals, best practices, and governance standards. The manager will be a key driver for innovation, platform stability, and delivering high-quality, scalable solutions across various ServiceNow modules (e.g., GRC, HRSD, ITOM, ITSM, SecOps, etc.).
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Lead, mentor, and manage a ServiceNow development team and administrators, fostering a collaborative, innovative, and high-performance team culture
- Conduct performance reviews, provide coaching, and support the career development of team members
- Manage the team's workload, priorities, and assignments using Agile (e.g., Scrum/Kanban) methodologies and the ITIL (e.g., incident, problem, change) framework
- Establish and enforce development standards, code review processes, and best practices to ensure code quality, platform health, and scalability
- Oversee the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) for ServiceNow projects, from requirements gathering and design to deployment and post-implementation support
- Define and manage the ServiceNow development roadmap, ensuring alignment with overall business and IT strategy
- Ensure solutions are designed to be scalable, maintainable, and adhere to security and compliance standards
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation on the ServiceNow platform, evaluating new features and releases
- Manage vendor relationships related to the ServiceNow platform, including coordinating platform upgrades and patch management
- Manage platform governance, including security, performance, and compliance
Preferred Requirements
- 7 years of experience in the ServiceNow ecosystem, with at least 3 years in a technical leadership or management role
- At least 3 years in leadership, mentoring, and team-building skills
- Proficiency in scripting languages used in ServiceNow development
- Experience with ServiceNow integrations with third-party systems
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conflict resolution abilities
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience of managing Financial and Procurement application development teams.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience managing teams through all phases of the technology lifecycle from initial deployment through retirement.
- Experience managing multiple teams comprised of offshore, nearshore, and local members.
- Experience managing systems in a hybrid environment of Premise and SaaS
- Experience supporting complex systems with significant integration points and external Third Party systems through APIs.
- Thorough understanding and proven delivery experience with both traditional and Agile (Scrum/Kanban) project methodologies.
- Experience with Agile tools such as Rally and Confluence.
- Experience with change management, incident management, and root cause analysis.
- Experience with Lawson Financials and SAP Ariba.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing software development teams.
- Minimum 5 years of experience working in software development.
This position is a hybrid role. This candidate will be required to work onsite 4-days per week, with the option to work 1-day per week remote.
