Job Summary
Granite Depot is seeking a full-time Warehouse Lead to oversee the daily operations of our slab yard and warehouse in Denver. This position plays a key role in keeping materials organized, moving efficiently, and safely handled while supporting our production and installation teams.

The Warehouse Lead is responsible for coordinating the movement of stone slabs and other materials, managing inbound and outbound deliveries, and maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organized workspace. You should have hands-on experience working in a warehouse environment, preferably with stone or other heavy materials, and you must be comfortable operating forklifts and related equipment.

Duties

  • Operate forklifts, cranes, clamp trucks, and other heavy equipment to load and unload shipments
  • Pick and organize orders using RF scanners and warehouse management systems
  • Load and unload materials from trucks and storage areas with precision and safety compliance
  • Assist with order picking, shipping & receiving tasks, and inventory management
  • Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance needs
  • Follow OSHA safety standards and company policies during all operations
  • Utilize mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues
  • Support warehouse management in maintaining organized storage areas and efficient workflow
  • Perform heavy lifting as required while adhering to safety guidelines

Requirements

  • Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks in a warehouse or construction setting
  • Warehouse distribution or warehouse experience preferred; experience with order picker or picker is a plus
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations related to heavy equipment operation and materials handling
  • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic troubleshooting on equipment
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners for order picking and inventory control
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Valid certification for forklift operation; additional certifications for crane or clamp truck operation are advantageous
  • Strong attention to safety protocols and procedures in shipping & receiving operations
  • Physical stamina to stand, walk, lift, and operate equipment throughout shifts

Candidates must have current forklift certification and experience moving large or heavy product. The role requires familiarity with basic inventory management practices and the ability to track materials accurately. You should be comfortable using MS Office for tasks such as updating spreadsheets, entering data, and communicating with the front office and production teams.

Pay: $ $23.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
