Real Estate Controller

Are you a strategic financial expert with a passion for real estate? We're seeking a person to lead all accounting and financial operations for our growing real estate portfolio. This is a senior-level role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and brings experience in multifamily, commercial, or mixed-use real estate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day accounting, financial reporting, and budgeting across all real estate entities
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Manage cash flow forecasting and investor reporting
• Coordinate audits, tax filings, and regulatory compliance
• Implement internal controls and process improvements
• Liaise with lenders, partners, and asset managers

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of accounting experience in real estate or property management
• Deep understanding of GAAP and real estate finance (CapEx, rent rolls, CAM reconciliations, etc.)
• Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Yardi, AppFolio, MRI, or QuickBooks)
• Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills
