Spa General Manager

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Spa Manager to oversee daily operations of our wellness facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, exceptional customer service abilities, and comprehensive knowledge of spa management, retail sales, and team supervision. This role involves managing staff, ensuring excellent client experiences, and maintaining the overall smooth functioning of the spa environment. The Spa Manager will be responsible for implementing strategic initiatives to enhance service quality, increase revenue, and foster a welcoming atmosphere for clients and staff alike.

Duties

• Lead and supervise spa staff, including therapists, receptionists, and support personnel to ensure high standards of service delivery.
• Oversee employee orientation, training & development programs to promote professional growth and maintain team motivation.
• Manage daily operations including scheduling shifts, inventory control, and POS transactions to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
• Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and ensure exceptional customer service experiences.
• Conduct interviewing and recruiting processes to attract qualified candidates for various roles within the spa.
• Oversee payroll processing, bookkeeping, budgeting, and financial record-keeping to ensure fiscal responsibility.
• Manage purchasing decisions for supplies and retail products while maintaining optimal inventory levels.
• Implement marketing strategies to promote services and retail offerings through various channels.
• Monitor retail sales performance, set sales targets, and develop merchandising plans to maximize revenue.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized environment.
• Supervise retail sales activities including pricing strategies, stock management, and cashiering duties.
• Engage in leadership activities such as team management, staff scheduling, and performance evaluations to foster a productive work environment.

Requirements

• Proven management experience within a retail or service-oriented setting; previous assistant manager or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse clientele.
• Proficiency in POS systems, inventory management software, bookkeeping tools, and retail math principles.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities with experience in training & development, team management, and employee supervision.
• Knowledge of marketing strategies relevant to retail or wellness industries; experience in merchandising is advantageous.
• Ability to handle cash handling responsibilities accurately and efficiently while maintaining high levels of customer service.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service excellence; phone etiquette is essential.
• Organizational skills necessary for shift management, scheduling, budgeting, and administrative tasks.
• A background in sales management or retail management is highly desirable; familiarity with grocery store or wellness industry standards is beneficial. Pay: $75, $85,000.00 per year
