Dishwasher

The Santaluz Club is a private country club located near Rancho Santa Fe and our Culinary team is currently looking for a Full-Time Dishwasher Operator.

Dishwasher Operators are the backbone of our kitchens as they are responsible for cleaning all dishes, pots/pans, glasses, silverware, and cooking supplies. They ensure the flow isn't interrupted and keep the dish room organized and the dish machine in clean and working order by company standards and sanitation guidelines.

This is also a great way to get your foot in the door of a commercial kitchen. We believe in growing our hardworking teammates and giving them opportunities to build their skills.

Responsibilities:

• Wash dishes, glassware, pots, pans, flatware, and kitchen items, using dishwashers or by hand.
• Place clean dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment in storage areas.
• Clean work area including equipment, floors, walls, and cooking area.
• Ensure that all levels of sanitizer on dish machines and pot sinks are at the specific requirements for health standards.
• Keep all kitchen wares storage areas clean and orderly.
• Remove trash from the dish room and transport to the dumpster. Cleans and sanitizes garbage cans

Qualifications

• Ability to understand and follow directions.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others.

Schedule:

• Full-time hours available.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• We are hiring 1 person to fill this role.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for the entire length of shift.
• Ability to lift and carry supplies and equipment up to 60 pounds and place items on high and low shelves in storerooms and freezers.
• Frequent reaching, twisting at the waist, bending, and squatting
• Pushing and occasionally pulling, to move equipment, mops, and brooms
• Hazards include, but are not limited to, cuts from broken glass, metal cans, scalds, and burns, slipping and tripping, exposure to and contact with chemical cleaning agents.
• Ability to withstand temperatures in a hot and damp kitchen environment.
