New Construction Plumbing / Mechanical Supervisor

Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Plumbing/Mechanical Supervisor to lead large-scale new construction projects ranging from $5M–$20M. This role oversees field operations, labor, subcontractors, and quality execution in accordance with plans, specifications, codes, and safety standards. The ideal candidate is a strong field leader with deep technical expertise and the ability to coordinate effectively with internal teams and external partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise plumbing and mechanical crews on new construction projects, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality work
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
  • Manage project schedules and field execution (Primavera P6 or similar)
  • Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and general contractors
  • Enforce OSHA safety standards and company safety policies
  • Conduct site inspections, track progress, and resolve field issues
  • Monitor budgets, labor, and productivity; provide status updates as needed
  • Ensure all work complies with local codes, regulations, and quality standards

Qualifications & Skills

  • 7+ years of experience in plumbing and/or HVAC systems on new construction projects
  • Proven experience supervising large crews and complex projects
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing and mechanical systems from underground through rooftop installations
  • Experience with cooling towers, chillers, boilers, large rooftop units, and system start-up/commissioning
  • Hands-on knowledge of hydronic, refrigeration piping, and VRF systems
  • Proficient with construction software (Primavera P6, Procore, Bluebeam, HeavyBid, or similar)
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • OSHA safety knowledge and code compliance expertise
  • Journeyman Plumbing, HVAC, and/or Gas Fitting license preferred
  • Computer literate and comfortable with construction technology
