Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Production Planner to join our manufacturing team. In this vital role, you will orchestrate the production schedule to ensure optimal efficiency, meet customer demands, and uphold quality standards. Your proactive planning and coordination will drive continuous improvement initiatives and streamline manufacturing processes. Essential Functions include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Execute the production schedule by releasing work orders in a timely and accurate manner. Assure availability of all materials and services needed for each work order.
  • Manage work orders from release to completion.
  • Inform Operations and Scheduling regarding potential changes to the schedule attainment.
  • Address changes in materials requirements resulting from Engineering Change Notices.
  • Manage work orders from release to completion. Close work orders as necessary.
  • Analyze cost and material variances on work orders with timely resolution.
  • Communicate potential component shortages and coordinate with Purchasing to prioritize back orders to help resolve material availability constraints.
  • Determine if items are Manufactured or Purchased.
  • For Manufactured items, add and maintain operations and labor time.
  • Perform analysis of material availability and lead times for requests for expedited delivery.
  • Maintain the status and location of raw materials, WIP and finished goods inventories.
  • Assist in reconciling inventory counts and investigating material loss on assembly floor.
  • Respond to inquiries from Sales, Service, and Operations in a timely manner.
  • Maintain production control-related information in ERP system as accurate and current.
  • Implement and maintain business processes for purposes of continuous improvement.
  • Assist with inventory management activities, contributing toward achieving inventory control targets.
  • Performs all work to Company policies and adheres to strict ethical standards.
  • Administration and reporting as necessary.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Work Environment:
The Production Planner will work primarily in the office and interact with associates from the Storeroom and Operations on the assembly floor. The work environment can be fast paced with changing daily priorities.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
The production Planner is an individual contributor.
This is an on-site position, working Monday through Friday; 7:30am till 4:00pm.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to approach issues in a systematic manner.
  • Ability to analyze unstructured or imperfect data.
  • Demonstrated ability to build consensus and foster positive relationships with team members and can effectively manage and resolve conflicts.
  • Exhibit strong interpersonal and teamwork orientation to contribute to project teams and interact constructively with business associates.
  • Strong knowledge of production planning, assembly operations and use of MRP/ERP systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with ability to tailor messaging to different audiences of business associates.
  • Exhibit a strong orientation towards meeting commitments on time, within budget, and achieving results.
  • Must be self-directed and able to work independently.
  • Must exhibit excellent organization skills and attention to detail.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly MS-Excel.
  • Able to read engineering prints.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, or operations management preferred.
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years prior experience with production planning in a manufacturing and assembly environment.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Must have prior experience with ERP systems. Prior experience with Syteline is beneficial

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $66, $85,000.00 per year
