Client Job Description: Responsible for program management of the WAF initiative inside the security organization. WAF empowers Client Security to detect, respond and virtually patch critical zero-day vulnerabilities and guide the Security Organization in building well-informed detection and prevention capabilities. The focus for the program manager is to define the program scope, partner with stakeholders on the plan and drive the execution. In addition, the program manager is in charge of handling information flow and resolving interdependencies (inside and outside of the Security organization), providing status reports for broader communication including the key stakeholders. In addition, combine various data sources together and roll up information effectively in weekly reports and present in the governance meetings.
Skills *
• Strong stakeholder management skills. Ability to communicate effectively and concisely with all levels of internal and external stakeholders (including VP level) with evidence and data.
• Strong ability to manage at a program level in terms of scoping, planning, risk, dependencies and execution with multiple workstreams underneath.
• Can simplify and structure a complex technical program effectively.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written in English
• Technical expertise in web application security domain:
o Proficiency in Web Application Firewall (WAF) technologies, including a thorough understanding of WAF architecture, deployment options, and policy configuration best practices to effectively manage the protection of web applications from security threats.
o Solid understanding of web application security principles and best practices, such as the OWASP Top Ten vulnerabilities, to ensure effective communication, collaboration, and guidance for security and development teams.
o Familiarity with web application architecture and development, including frontend and backend technologies, APIs, and network protocols, to facilitate informed decision-making and coordination between teams implementing WAF solutions.
o Working knowledge of containerization and Kubernetes orchestration, with a focus on understanding how WAF solutions can be deployed and managed in a containerized environment to ensure seamless integration and effective security measures.
• Nice to have:
o Experience in managing relevant compliance requirements and standards (e.g., PCI DSS, GDPR), ensuring that web application security measures align with organizational policies, industry best practices, and applicable regulations.
