Delivery Driver/Customer Service

Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver who would be doing many other tasks to join our team. This role involves the pickup and delivery of laundry to both residential and commercial locations safely and efficiently, ensuring excellent customer service. This role also involves daily tasks like Facility Maintenance, Cleaning, Vending Machine and Laundry facility goods to be inventoried and managed. The ideal candidate will have experience with route driving, a little mechanically inclined is preferred, willing and able to learn new things like equipment maintenance. Able to handle heavy loads, including operating a large van in winter conditions. A strong focus on safety, punctuality, and customer satisfaction is essential for success in this position.

Duties

• Safely operate box trucks/van and commercial vehicles to deliver products across designated routes
• Load and unload cargo using manual lifting techniques while adhering to safety protocols
• Ensure accurate delivery of goods to customers, verifying orders and obtaining pictures and signatures when necessary
• Maintain a clean and organized vehicle, performing routine inspections and reporting any maintenance issues
• Follow planned routes efficiently, adjusting as needed for traffic or unforeseen delays
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries professionally and courteously
• Assist with warehouse tasks such as inventory management, moving stock, vending machine goods to be sold and minor facility and equipment maintenance and some custodial tasks.

Experience

• Prior delivery driver experience preferred, especially with route driving and courier services (not required)
• Proven ability to handle heavy lifting safely and efficiently during loading/unloading processes
• Experience operating box trucks or similar commercial vehicles in winter driving (Good driving record is required)
• Strong customer service skills with a professional attitude
• Valid Alaska driver's license required.
• Ability to navigate using GPS or route planning tools effectively
• Preferred someone who is somewhat mechanically inclined. Willing and able to learn quickly.

Pay: $ $22.00 per hour
