As a Configuration Management Analyst at our Auburn Hills, MI facility , you will play a critical role in managing engineering documentation and ensuring accuracy across Bill of Materials (BOMs), Approved Manufacturer Lists (AMLs), and CAD data. You'll coordinate engineering change processes, resolve documentation discrepancies, and support product lifecycle management. Your attention to detail and technical expertise will help ensure smooth transitions and compliance across manufacturing operations.
Location:- On-site at Auburn Hills, MI
- Coordinate and administer engineering change processes across site workcells.
- Review and validate customer documentation, resolving conflicting or unclear information.
- Ensure completeness of BOMs and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) before initiating Engineering Change Notices (ECNs).
- Verify drawing revisions match BOM updates and post approved documentation to internal systems.
- Communicate changes to internal teams and obtain required approvals.
- Maintain archives of obsolete revisions and end-of-life documentation.
- Perform mass uploads for new assemblies and determine required media.
- Maintain and update AMLs based on customer requirements.
- Use Valor to:
- Validate PCB designs.
- Merge and analyze CAD, Gerber, BOM, and AML data.
- Identify and communicate manufacturing issues.
- Generate GenCad and golden BOMs for Engineering and Programming.
- Coordinate with Planning and Purchasing to ensure accurate effectivity dates and revision control.
- Work safely and comply with Environmental Health and Safety standards and company policies.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Business or related field preferred.
Experience:
- 0-2 years of experience in configuration management, documentation control, or engineering support.
- Or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and/or training.
- Advanced reading, writing, and math skills (12th grade level or higher).
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Jabil software packages.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical prints and engineering documentation.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.
- Familiarity with ISO 9000 standards and Windchill preferred.
- Experience with Valor and PCB documentation analysis tools.
