Math and Science Tutor

One Mind Learning Center, located in Newport Beach, CA , is looking for a Math and Science Tutor. Our practice specializes in developing individualized learning programs for students (Kinder - College) to strengthen weaknesses in their academic performances. Sessions are delivered in a one-on-one setting to students of all ages. We are looking for academic tutors with prior tutoring and/or teaching experience who are able to provide tutoring conducive to each individuals' specific needs.

Math & Science Subjects we offer:

Biology/AP Biology, Chemistry/ AP Chemistry, Physics/AP Physics, AP Environmental Science, AP Psychology, Algebra, Algebra II/Trig, Geometry, Pre-Calculus/ Honors Pre-Calculus, Calculus, AP Calculus AB/BC, AP Statistics, ACT and SAT Mathematics and Science section.

Responsibilities

Provide individualized tutoring sessions to students in multiple subjects, with a focus on 7th - 12th grade curriculum. (Homework, quizzes, tests, educational enrichment)

Deliver engaging lesson plans tailored to students' learning needs and styles.

Collaborate with teachers and to recalibrate and develop programs developed to meet individual student needs .

Qualifications

• Prior tutoring experience
• Teaching / Special Education certificate and/or 4-year bachelor's degree
• Scholastic Year: Minimum availability 3 days a week (between Monday - Thursday) from ~2:45PM - 7:45PM

Compensation dependent on experience*

Pay: $ $35.00 per hour
