The Advanced Submarine Electrical and Combat System department is looking for an experienced engineer to join the Combat System team. This mid‑to‑senior level role will lead technical efforts to design, integrate, test, and sustain combat systems for submarine platforms. The engineer will drive system-level solutions, coordinate cross‑discipline teams, and ensure deliverables meet performance, reliability, safety, and schedule requirements.
The engineer will lead system engineering activities for submarine combat systems including requirements development, architecture, integration, verification, and validation.
• Translate operational needs into technical requirements and interface definitions across sensors, weapons, navigation, sonar, C4I, and combat management subsystems.
• Create, review, and maintain system design artifacts: concept of operations, system architectures, interface control documents, sequence diagrams, and system specifications.
• Plan and execute integration and test campaigns in lab, shipboard, and shore‑based environments; analyze test results and drive anomaly resolution.
• Lead trade studies, performance analyses, modeling, and simulation to evaluate design alternatives and quantify risks.
• Provide technical direction to cross-functional engineering teams, suppliers, and subcontractors; coordinate engineering changes and configuration control.
• Support technical reviews, design reviews, and program milestone events; present technical status to program leadership and stakeholders.
• Mentor junior engineers; contribute to team process improvements and knowledge
