Bartender

Overview

We're seeking an energetic, guest-focused Bartender to join our team at the Matrix Bar & Grill. The ideal candidate is experienced in fast-paced hospitality environments, skilled in crafting cocktails, and proficient in using Toast POS to ensure smooth and accurate service.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet guests, take drink and food orders, and deliver an exceptional customer experience
• Mix, garnish, and serve cocktails and other beverages according to recipes and company standards
• Operate Toast POS to enter orders, process payments, split checks, and manage tabs efficiently
• Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar area
• Verify identification and ensure responsible alcohol service in compliance with local laws
• Manage cash, credit, and digital transactions accurately at the bar
• Collaborate with servers, hosts, and kitchen staff to ensure timely and coordinated service
• Monitor inventory levels and notify management of restocking needs
• Handle guest concerns professionally and resolve issues promptly
• Uphold all safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards

Qualifications

• Experience using Toast POS or other modern point-of-sale systems
• Strong knowledge of beer, wine, spirits, and basic to advanced mixology
• Excellent communication and customer-service skills
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently during peak hours
• Cash-handling accuracy and attention to detail
• Bassett & Food Handler Certification
• Must meet the minimum age requirement to serve alcohol in the state
• Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed

Preferred Skills

• Proven bartending experience in a restaurant, bar, or hospitality setting
• Certification in responsible alcohol service (e.g., TIPS, ServSafe)
• Experience in high-volume or craft-cocktail environments
• Basic knowledge of bar inventory management
