Director, Supply Chain Management

Mity Inc., a Utah County event furniture manufacturer is seeking a Supply Chain Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in production planning and purchasing as well as a hands on approach to team development and global and domestic sourcing.

The Director of Supply Chain will report in office in Orem, Utah and have a base pay plus bonus opportunity.

Main Duties and Responsibilities Include:

• Develop and implement supply chain strategies to optimize efficiency and reduce costs

• Vendor Score card system

• Negotiate spend/ volume

• Geographical product sourcing strategy

• Lead and manage a team of supply chain professionals, providing guidance and support

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and effective communication
• Oversee inventory management, demand planning, and procurement processes
• Monitor supplier performance and negotiate contracts to ensure favorable terms (All Companies)
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors
• Lead alternative sourcing activities
• Review of purchase trends and vendor volumes to pursue cost savings opportunities.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in supply chain management
• Ensure quality remains paramount
• Experience with Warehouse operations a plus

Qualifications

The following are qualifications that are necessary for a person to be considered for this position.

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field; MBA preferred
• Proven experience in Supply Chain management at a senior leadership level. Minimum 10 years of experience
• Extensive sourcing experience (Asia, Latin America, Europe, Domestic)
• Strong knowledge of supply chain principles, inventory management, logistics as well as understanding of financials and costing methodologies
• Ad-hoc Data Mining and Data Analysis from multiple data sources
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams
• Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on continuous improvement
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• A passport and ability to travel internationally, including having a Chinese visa (or the ability to get one)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100, $120,000.00 per year
