Jr. Estimator

Hill Woodworks is a manufacturer of custom cabinets and countertops, for the commercial industry. The Jr. Estimator would work with our current Estimator to assist and learn how to estimate custom cabinets, countertops, reception desks and more for daycare facilities, hospitals, and other commercial applications. Hill Woodworks is proud to be a WBE and assisting with federal housing projects, hospitals, rehabilitation facilities and amusement parks.

Estimator Job Responsibilities:

• Prepares work to be estimated by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.
• Maintains contact and relationships with general contractors, private individuals and other organizations.
• Identifies labor, material, and time requirements.
• Computes costs by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements.
• Presents prepared estimates by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information related to the bid requests
• Collaborates with team on projects, for further insight.
• Completes bid requests on time and accurately.

Work Hours: Hours of work are full time. This Jr. Estimator position will be working at the office; however there are times Estimators are required to do a walk through or participate in a site visit.

As a full time position, the chosen candidate will be eligible for benefits to include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, PTO and 401K.

Estimator Qualifications and Skills:

• Strong analytic abilities
• Working knowledge of Excel spreadsheets
• Understanding of construction documents
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Ability to coordinate and work independently
• Knowledge of CAD software

Education and Experience Requirements:

1-3 years prior Estimator experience
