Accountant / Bookkeeper

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit financial reports in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and business improvement opportunities.
• Manage the accounts payable cycle, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of payments.
• Maintain precise accounting records using QuickBooks or similar software.
• Apply double-entry bookkeeping and maintain comprehensive ledgers of debits and credits.
• Generate insightful financial reports to support strategic decision-making.
• Ensure all accounting procedures align with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Collaborate with internal departments on budget planning, forecasting, and financial strategy.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, ideally within the construction industry.
• Strong command of GAAP, regulatory reporting standards, and financial analysis methods.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting software is strongly preferred.
• Exceptional analytical and organizational skills with a high level of accuracy.
• Effective communication skills for reporting and presenting financial insights.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40, $50,000.00 per year
