Become our next Warehouse Coordinator in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma! This pivotal role oversees the daily operations of our warehouse, ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of goods. You will manage inventory, coordinate staff, optimize storage, and maintain accurate records. Your responsibilities will include supervising receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping processes. This position requires strong organizational skills, leadership qualities, and a deep understanding of logistics and supply chain management. You will be instrumental in implementing and enforcing safety procedures, ensuring all personnel understand and adhere to protocols, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Regular lifting of items up to 50 pounds will be necessary, and you must be capable of performing these tasks. This role demands proactive problem-solving and effective communication with team members and other departments. Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate warehouse staff and activities.
- Manage inventory levels and conduct regular cycle counts.
- Oversee receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations.
- Optimize warehouse layout and space utilization.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and proper use of PPE.
- Train new employees on warehouse procedures and safety.
- Maintain accurate inventory and shipping/receiving records.
- Coordinate with carriers and manage shipping schedules.
- Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Perform regular safety audits of the warehouse.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Coordinator or similar role.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and logistics.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in inventory management and control.
- Understanding of safety regulations and experience enforcing them, including PPE usage.
- Physical ability to perform tasks requiring lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in Logistics or related field a plus.
