We are seeking a detail-oriented Receiving Clerk to join our San Jose, California warehouse team. This critical role ensures that all incoming shipments are accurately documented, inspected, and processed efficiently, forming the first step in our comprehensive logistics chain. Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming shipments, verify quantities and item numbers against purchase orders or packing slips.
- Inspect goods for damage, defects, or discrepancies.
- Document all received items accurately in the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Unload materials from trucks and transport them to designated receiving or storage areas.
- Properly tag and label received inventory for accurate tracking.
- Communicate any receiving issues or discrepancies to supervisors and relevant departments.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area, adhering to all Safety regulations.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment as required.
- Ensure compliance with all company Safety policies and proper use of PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in receiving, shipping, or a similar warehouse role is required.
- Proficiency with WMS and data entry is essential.
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Familiarity with Safety procedures in a warehouse environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
