We are actively seeking a skilled Material Handler to contribute to our bustling warehouse operations in Seattle, Washington. This position is fundamental to ensuring the efficient and safe movement of goods throughout our facility. You will be responsible for operating various types of equipment to transport, store, and stage materials, playing a vital part in our overall logistics chain.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other mechanical equipment to move, stack, and organize materials.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and safely, ensuring accurate counts and documentation.
- Stage materials for order picking, production, or shipping as required.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and assist with cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean, clutter-free, and safe work environment, adhering to all safety regulations.
- Ensure proper handling of all materials to prevent damage and loss.
- Wear appropriate PPE at all times when operating machinery or handling materials.
- Assist with receiving and put-away processes for incoming goods.
- Perform routine checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance and Safety.
- Collaborate with the logistics team to ensure seamless material flow.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler, Forklift Operator, or in a similar warehouse role.
- Valid forklift certification is strongly preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy Lifting tasks, frequently up to 60 lbs.
- Comprehensive understanding of warehouse Safety procedures and practices.
- Familiarity with logistics operations and inventory control principles.
- Good physical strength, stamina, and coordination.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Commitment to upholding the highest standards of Safety and operational efficiency.
