We are looking for a skilled Material Handler to join our operations in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This role is critical for the smooth movement of goods throughout our facility. You will be responsible for managing the flow of materials, ensuring they are transported, stored, and organized efficiently and safely. Your contribution will be vital to our logistics operations.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery to move materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring timely and accurate handling of inbound and outbound shipments.
- Stage materials for production or shipping, ensuring proper sequencing and identification.
- Perform inventory checks and assist with cycle counting and stock rotation.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment, free from hazards.
- Ensure all materials are handled according to established procedures and Safety guidelines.
- Use appropriate PPE at all times when handling materials or operating machinery.
- Assist with the organization and consolidation of warehouse stock.
- Inspect equipment before and after use to ensure operational readiness and Safety.
- Support logistics team in various tasks to ensure efficient warehouse operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar role.
- Valid forklift operator certification is strongly preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy Lifting, often exceeding 50 lbs.
- Knowledge of warehouse Safety procedures and regulations.
- Familiarity with logistics and inventory management systems.
- Good physical stamina and manual dexterity.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong understanding of proper material handling techniques.
- Commitment to maintaining a high standard of Safety and operational excellence.
