We are hiring a skilled Forklift Operator to join our busy warehouse in St. Louis, Missouri. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving materials throughout the warehouse, loading and unloading trucks, and supporting various operational needs. This role is essential to the smooth functioning of our logistics operations. The ideal candidate will possess a valid forklift certification, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to operate various types of forklifts with precision. You will work in a dynamic environment, often coordinating with other warehouse staff to ensure inventory is organized and accessible. Safety is our top priority, and all operators must strictly follow all company safety regulations and consistently wear the required PPE. This position requires the ability to perform lifting tasks as well as operate machinery. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move, stack, and retrieve materials.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing freight.
- Inspect forklift equipment daily and report any maintenance issues.
- Follow all safety regulations and company policies.
- Utilize appropriate PPE at all times.
- Assist with inventory management and organization.
- Coordinate with supervisors and other team members on material handling needs.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
