Our Omaha, Nebraska facility is looking for a reliable and efficient Picker/Packer to join our warehouse team. This role is fundamental to our order fulfillment process, ensuring that customer orders are accurately assembled and prepared for shipment. As a Picker/Packer, you will be responsible for locating items within the warehouse, meticulously picking them according to order specifications, and then carefully packing them to ensure they arrive safely at their destination. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential for success in this position. We emphasize teamwork, productivity, and a commitment to Safety.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on order lists or scanner data.
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Pack items securely into appropriate shipping containers, using dunnage and protective materials.
- Apply shipping labels and any necessary documentation to packages.
- Operate manual equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and contribute to overall warehouse tidiness.
- Adhere strictly to all Safety guidelines and company policies, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Perform inventory checks and assist with stock counts as required.
- Identify and report any discrepancies or damages to supervisors.
- Support other warehouse functions as needed to ensure efficient operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, picking, or packing role is preferred.
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
- Capacity for moderate to heavy Lifting, up to 35 pounds, on a regular basis.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure order accuracy.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and Logistics principles.
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and following procedures.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliability and punctuality.
