This role is crucial for ensuring that all orders are processed accurately, packaged correctly, and dispatched on time. You will be responsible for preparing shipping documentation, coordinating with carriers, and maintaining shipment records. Responsibilities:
- Process and prepare all outgoing shipments, including documentation and labeling.
- Verify shipping information for accuracy and completeness.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers (UPS, FedEx, USPS, LTL) to schedule pickups and track shipments.
- Package orders securely and efficiently, ensuring product protection during transit.
- Maintain accurate shipping logs and records.
- Communicate with internal departments regarding shipment status.
- Inspect outgoing merchandise for quality and accuracy.
- Assist with receiving and stocking duties as needed.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Operate shipping equipment such as label printers and pallet jacks.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a shipping clerk, warehouse associate, or in a related logistics role.
- Proficiency with shipping software and carrier platforms.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and inventory management.
- Must wear appropriate PPE, including safety shoes and vests, as required.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced setting.
