We have an immediate opening for a Material Handler in our Kansas City, Missouri facility. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for the efficient movement and organization of materials throughout our warehouse. This critical role supports our entire logistics operation, ensuring that inventory is accessible, tracked, and safely managed. Your duties will include receiving, transporting, storing, and preparing materials for production or shipment. Operating material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, will be a significant part of your daily tasks. Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment is paramount, and adherence to all safety regulations, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is expected. This position requires the ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including substantial lifting and maneuvering of materials. You will work collaboratively with various teams to ensure timely and accurate material flow, contributing directly to the efficiency of our supply chain. A keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy in inventory management are essential. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials.
- Transport materials within the warehouse using forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.
- Store materials in designated locations and maintain inventory records.
- Prepare materials for production or shipment.
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed and proper PPE is worn.
- Conduct regular checks of material handling equipment.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Perform tasks involving significant lifting and physical exertion.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth material flow.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operating license preferred.
- Ability to operate various material handling equipment.
- Experience with inventory management is a plus.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and use of PPE.
- Physical stamina for lifting and moving materials.
- Understanding of logistics and supply chain principles.
