We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Order Picker to join our dynamic logistics team in Fort Worth, Texas. As an Order Picker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment of customer orders. Your primary responsibility will be to efficiently locate, pick, and prepare items for shipment. This position requires a keen eye for detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a strong commitment to safety protocols. You will be responsible for utilizing RF scanners and other equipment to identify and retrieve products from warehouse shelves. Accurate order picking is essential to maintain customer satisfaction and minimize errors. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills and be adept at managing multiple tasks simultaneously. We are looking for individuals who are proactive, reliable, and eager to contribute to a positive team atmosphere. Attention to detail is paramount in this role to ensure the correct items and quantities are picked for each order. This role is fundamental to our overall warehouse operations and contributes directly to the success of our logistics network.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders using RF scanners and pick lists.
- Identify and locate products on warehouse shelves.
- Prepare picked items for shipment by packaging and labeling them correctly.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment as needed.
- Report any discrepancies or damages to inventory immediately.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to safety and PPE.
- Achieve daily picking quotas while maintaining accuracy.
- Participate in inventory counts and checks.
- Continuous learning and improvement in picking techniques.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or order picking role preferred.
- Ability to perform frequent Lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures.
- Basic reading and math skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must wear required PPE at all times.
- Understanding of basic logistics principles is a plus.
- Commitment to workplace Safety.
