The Architecture Services department is made of two technical areas; Solutions and Vendor based presales.
The Solutions Architects focus on complex architecture with knowledge ranging more broadly across one or more discipline, whilst Vendor Architects specialise on providing expertise within specified vendors and provide a deeper level of understanding of those vendors.
This role sits within the Architecture Services team but includes additional responsibilities aligned to an Intel-supported initiative, aimed at strengthening Softcat's capability in modern datacentre and hybrid cloud platforms.

As a Senior Hybrid Architect, you will work as a member of Architecture Services to translate a client's business requirements into innovative, thoughtful, and well-designed solutions either on premise or in a hybrid-cloud setup.
The role requires demonstrating the skills of a subject matter expert, which means constantly striving to be at the top of your game in the latest technologies and design methodologies.
Being able to demonstrate knowledge and understanding across the whole gamut of the Datacentre portfolio (compute, storage, HCI, consumption services etc) is a core part of the role.
Responsibilities
Helping to understand, scope and document customers' business and technical requirements.
Producing designs, configurations, and input into solutions proposals.
Underwriting and acting as technical design authority for solution designs and proposals in your discipline.
Working with other members of Architecture Services on multi-technology requirements.
Presenting complex information clearly, persuasively, and elegantly orally through presentations and whiteboarding.
Qualifications
Demonstrate experience of technical presales and relevant datacentre technologies, such as: HPE, Dell, Nutanix, VMware, Pure, Rubrik, Cisco, and Azure.
Knowledge of relevant tooling including sizers and configurators.
Experience of conducting customer meetings, whiteboarding and documenting solutions.
