Join our fulfillment team as a Picker/Packer in Boston, Massachusetts! This fast-paced role is crucial for ensuring our customers receive their orders accurately and on time. You will be responsible for efficiently picking items from warehouse shelves based on order details and then carefully packing them for shipment. Accuracy and speed are paramount to our logistics operations. You will use handheld scanners to locate products and verify selections, and then utilize appropriate packing materials to protect items during transit. Safety is a core value; all team members must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adhere to all established safety procedures. This role requires the ability to perform frequent lifting of items up to 35 pounds, as well as standing, walking, and bending for extended periods. Responsibilities:
- Retrieve specified items from warehouse locations.
- Use scanners to accurately identify and record picked items.
- Inspect items for damage before packing.
- Pack orders securely and efficiently using various materials.
- Apply shipping labels and prepare packages for dispatch.
- Maintain a clean and orderly workstation and contribute to warehouse tidiness.
- Follow all safety rules and wear required PPE.
- Report any stock issues or discrepancies immediately.
- Meet individual and team performance goals.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Picker/Packer or in a similar warehouse role is advantageous.
- Ability to handle frequent lifting of items weighing up to 35 pounds.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work at a rapid pace while maintaining quality.
- Understanding of warehouse safety practices and willingness to use PPE.
- Good physical condition for standing, walking, and bending throughout the shift.
- Reliable and punctual with a positive attitude.
