We are seeking motivated individuals to join our team as Order Pickers in Indianapolis, Indiana. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently selecting products from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. This position is crucial for ensuring timely and correct order fulfillment, directly impacting customer satisfaction. You will utilize a handheld scanner to locate items, verify quantities, and confirm selections. The ability to work quickly while maintaining precision is paramount. Our logistics operations depend on reliable and diligent order pickers. Safety is our top priority; therefore, all team members must be vigilant about warehouse safety regulations and the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including safety shoes and vests. This role involves considerable walking, bending, and reaching, as well as frequent lifting of items up to 40 pounds. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items for customer orders using a scanner and pick list.
- Verify product codes and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Replenish inventory in picking locations as needed.
- Stage picked orders for packing and shipping.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and guidelines.
- Properly use all required PPE.
- Report any discrepancies or equipment issues to a supervisor.
- Participate in inventory counts as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in order picking or warehouse work is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds repetitively.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to safety and proper use of PPE.
- Good stamina for walking and standing for extended periods.
- Team player mentality.
